Publishing links

In this article

Pur Social knows how to add UTM tags and shorten links when publishing posts on social networks. Thus, subscribers will see a short link instead of a long one with parameters.

Shortening and labeling is disabled by default. These can be enabled in Project Settings → Links Publishing.

If you have link shortening enabled, Pur Social will shorten all links in posts. If you need not to shorten a specific link when publishing, then you need to add the "no-short = true" parameter to the link.

The link will be published without this parameter.

💡
Example

https://example.com → https://example.com/?no-short=true

https://example.com/?param=val → https://example.com/?param=val&no-short=true

https://example.com/link → https://example.com/link/?no-short=true

When the "Use UTM parameters" option is enabled in the project settings, Pur Social will automatically add tags when publishing. If you need to disable this feature, you can add the "no-utm = true" parameter to the link. Then the service will not add tags when publishing.

💡
Example

https://example.com → https://example.com/?no-utm=true

https://example.com/?param=val → https://example.com/?param=val&no-utm=true

https://example.com/link → https://example.com/link/?no-utm=true

The above parameters can be combined together. Then the link will be published without automatic UTM tags and will not be shortened.
